These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Rumbo app and website ("Rumbo", "the Service"), operated by CodeCans. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Rumbo is not financial advice. Rumbo is an informational and organizational tool. Its figures, projections, and AI-generated responses are estimates for your own planning and are not investment, tax, legal, or financial advice. Always do your own research and consider consulting a qualified professional before making financial decisions.

1. The Service

Rumbo lets you manually record your financial accounts, goals, and cash flow, view derived figures such as net worth and allocation, project a financial-independence date, optionally refresh market prices for stock holdings you add, and ask an AI assistant questions about the data you have entered.

2. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it current.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.

3. Your data and accuracy

The information Rumbo shows is derived from the data you enter. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you input. Market prices retrieved for stock holdings are provided by a third party, may be delayed, and may be inaccurate or unavailable; they should not be relied upon for trading decisions.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to access other users' data, disrupting or overloading the Service, reverse-engineering it except as permitted by law, or using it for any unlawful purpose.

5. Third-party services

Rumbo depends on third-party providers (including Supabase for storage and authentication, Finnhub for market data, and Anthropic for the AI assistant). Your use of features powered by these providers is also subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for their services. See our Privacy Policy for what data is shared.

6. AI assistant

The assistant produces automated responses that can be incomplete or incorrect. Do not rely on them as professional advice, and verify anything important independently.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any projection or figure will be accurate.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CodeCans and Rumbo will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or financial outcomes, arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Service or reliance on its figures or AI responses.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service.

10. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may modify or discontinue features, and we may update these Terms. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
